Sky Birds for sale

SKY BIRDS  -  Swallows and House Martins
I made my first bird ceramics while at Morley College London from a photo I found in a book.
I now enjoy taking my own reference photographs each year in the village of Appleton Le Moors.

The skies range from brilliant blue to purple grey as the season progresses and the throng increases on the telephone wires as the fledglings emerge.

Terracotta and slips 33cm long SOLD

2013 - The North York Moors National Park, where I live, decided to reduced the number of overhead wires so there were few birds in the village street this year. We are all rather worried about the impact  long term.
